What a cool place to be. I and some friends took a day trip to Paducah, and this was one of the spots we heard about. The food was everything I expected and more, everything was excellent, and I was not disappointed in any way. If you can get a restaurant as close to perfect it is this. We had a short wait time and the place is kind of small, but it adds to the charm. The service was impeccable, and everyone was very friendly. If I am in the area again, I would be dumb not to stop in again. Please come here, it is worth it (it isn't even expensive)!

YUM!!! This is quite a little gem for sure! Mel's Diner has awesome Southern cooking and a very nice and comfortable atmosphere. Not only was the food delicious but the 'Sweet Tea' was as perfect as you could get! If you want to experience Southern food comfort at it best, this is where to go. You might not see, "Kiss My Grits," Flo, but you'll feel like she just might walk out of the kitchen.😁 We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and will definitely stop again when we're in the area.

My wife and I stopped in last week for breakfast and it was great. One thing we noticed here is when your food is done it's brought to your table right away piping hot. It doesn't sit for 5 minutes or longer cooling off. Since our first visit we have now been back 3 more times in the last 10 days. We stopped for lunch today and my wife ordered the double BLT and I had the Italian Beef. Both were delicious and delivered to our table piping hot. Staff and owners are great as well. Excellent service provided by all. What more can one ask for? Great food, great service and reasonable prices in this day and age. This will be a regular stop for us when we are in Paducah.

If I could give them a 6/5 stars I would. Out of every single diner, cafe, or eatery I've been to this one is by far the best. They had that perfect 'diner aesthetic' with all the license plates on the walls, the bar stools, the neon lighting, plus more. Their mens bathroom was SPOTLESS and DIDN'T smell like garbage, their food was so fast to come out yet was the closest thing to perfection I'd ever seen, cooked perfectly, cheese melted atop my burger flawlessly, and the buns were crisp. It was meaty, juicy, and all around a terrific purchase. Their prices are also some of the CHEAPEST I've seen anywhere, rivaling just about every other fast food place I've ever seen. For around $40 my mom and I while on a road trip were able to not only have a burger and a 2-egg meal with a side of biscuits and gravy (which she ate before I could even finish half my burger by the way), but we also got 3 burgers to go, plus drinks for later. All around it was roughly a $5-7 average per item on the menu, which was beyond cheap for the amazing quality of the food. Not only that, but their customer service was amazing and I think a good chunk of the $40 we paid was part of the tip too, so maybe $5 an item average, if that. For a little rinky dink cadillac shack in the middle of nowhere it was by far the best place we've ever eaten and we would deal with Nashville traffic just to go back again for lunch/dinner. All in all the day we happened across it, they were SO busy with customers that there were people waiting outside in their cars for a seat to open up. This place was HOPPIN' and when I say it I mean it. Hoppin' as in the kind of place you'd think of in that one late 1900's reality sitcom show where all the main cast hangs out at a local diner. THAT is the kind of spot Mel's is and if you DON'T go, you must just not like diner food.

I can certainly see why this place was busy when I came by. The outside has a classic diner look and that's carried through on the inside as well. I had a club sandwich with onion rings and a friend had chili. We are both quite happy with the food. It tasted great and certainly was very reasonably priced. It is not a fancy place but certainly a great diner experience! Service was fantastic and we got our food quickly.

Wife had a patty melt and I had a burger. We split an order of mushrooms. And a sweet tea, of course. Get off the highway, enjoy the food, and take a minute. Life will wait. Then tip your waitress excessively, she’s working her butt off for you.

Was recommended by Google search for breakfast places to eat. Was it bit outta our way, however Was not dissatisfied. Food was great, however I expected a few things differently but it was hot off the grill. When we arrived it was full so the wait was roughly 10-15min which was fine. It is a small space as a diner so a family of 5 with a high chair was a bit snug. Price is fair and will definitely try again. Only thing I would ask next time is to have my veggies grilled prior to putting in my omelet.

Every single time I come here the food is incredibly good, service is always fast. And atmosphere is great. I had 3 separate people come ask if everything was ok, quickly take dishes and cash me out. 100000/10 recommend, such an awesome place. The quality is great I just can’t go on enough about it!!
